Do you daydream? If you’re like me, I have chosen to live in the world of dreams. Always a daydreamer, I’ve spent countess hour and afternoons simply creating ideal realities and enjoying the prospect of their existence. If at least for a moment, an ideal version of reality has existed within my mind and I’ve basked in the beauty of it’s possibility.
This is the world of daydream.
A world that is higher, more lifted and more joyous. In the world of daydreams, all of your expectations are met with better than your intended outcomes and you can paint pictures of magical possibility.
In the world of daydreams, you expect and anticipate the best to shine through in everyone, whether or not they ever live up to that potential. In the world of daydreams, everyone you meet showers you with love and affection, in the most unexpected and lavish of ways.
In the world of daydreams, you are the ideal version of you and I am the ideal version of I. I behave always in a way that aligns with my higher soul and you are always living and operating in the clearest of your soul. And, this, is a world that exists to you always.
While the world of daydreams can be seen as the world of illusion, it is actually the world of the highest and greatest possibility.
It is the world in which you are your purest, truest self. A world in which you are almost always, aligned with your Divine Path. In the world of daydreams, you are always traveling upon a yellow brick road.
If you are sad, I am comforting and supportive in the exact way that your soul needs me to be so that your sadness may be lifted and your mood, heightened. In the world of daydreams, I travel around the world and I’m not afraid to jump from the highest cliff sides. In the world of a daydream, I have no fears and I am not afraid of dying.
Living in the world of daydream, is as though you are living one step above. You view things as better, as higher, as more perfect than the state of every day. You are more loving, more excited, more grateful and more joyous than the regular, non-daydream version of you.
In a daydream, you place yourself in a higher state of perspective and awareness. You are united with your highest self. In turn, you are united with the highest and most ideal self of all of those that you know. You see everyone, always, as the best possible versions of themselves.
Daydreaming feels good because it is union with your Divine Self and the Divine Self of all around. In daydream, you spend time uniting with the perfect form of all of the universe: love. Living in daydreaming is living a pure state of love. Seeing, accepting, receiving and understanding that all those around operate in love. In daydream, this is the only way.
When you come ‘back to reality’ after a daydream, you may ask yourself, why have I returned?
May I just stay the state of daydream forever?
The world of Daydream is a world we all live in as children. We are all familiar with the world of magic. And just as we made the choice to move away from it when we were younger, we may now choose to enter back to it.
You see, the problem of daydreaming has nothing to do with daydreaming at all – it has to do with the state of being that exists when you are not living in the world of possibility where we all exist in alignment with our highest Self. The world of daydream and the world of every-day are simply two very different worlds. Most people, choose to live in the reality of the every day, and because they want someone to relate to, they often ask, that you live there as well.
In the world of the every day, we are encumbered by fears of ourselves, the fears of others, and the cultural standards have have existed since ancient time. Expectations of our roles on earth and pressures of society influence us and to our greatest efforts, our capacity to exist in our highest soul, and to see others in their highest souls is limited within this reality. We are influenced by thoughts, emotions, media and collective fears and societal pressure of all humans we encounter.
To me, living in the world of the every day is much like living in a space where I am influenced by collective fears and societal pressures, rather than the world in which we all operate in alignment with the highest truth of love.
Moving from the reality of daydreams to the reality of everyday is simply that – a shift in reality focus. A shift in perception. In leaving the world of daydream, you step away from a world of green pastures and highest possibility for all to a world of less. Less smiling, less happiness, less expectation and less possibility.
You can choose, to forever live in the world of daydream and leave the everyday world behind. This requires no special steps, the beauty of it all, is all that you have to do is make the choice. Though the world of daydream does have it’s own guiding principles, that are slightly different from the norms and expectancy of the everyday.
By choosing to live in the world of daydream you are choosing to accept these realities:
- Everyone is operating in the highest and most loving way possible
- The world is filled with love and joy and it will be showered upon you
- You receive all that you wish for and people are cheering you on as it happens
- There is more color and magic around you than your eyes have time to notice
- If you make the time, you begin to notice more color and magic appearing before you
- You will be able to paint pictures of beauty for others when they are unable to do it for themselves
- You will be able to step up and into your highest and most loving self at any time
- You will be able to see everyone in the role of their highest selves and you will also be able to acknowledge their barriers to living in that state
- You start noticing beauty where you once saw only ugliness, especially within yourself
- You will be able to paint a canvas of possibility and optimism for yourself and those around you
- Shaking off the reality of the every day, and thus negativity, will be far easier
- You will be able to transcend any fight or conflict and step into loving wisdom and perspective, if you choose
- You will wake up each morning with more joy and the expectation of experiencing it
You can make the choice today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or right now. To always see the world through the eyes of a child, through rose colored, love filled glasses.
How do you start?
Choose for one day to extend your daydreams and personal fantasies of optimism onto the world around you. Begin to share your thoughts of, “Wouldn’t it be great if. . . “ and“Wouldn’t it be amazing to . . . “ with others. These are your dreams – explore them out loud. Paint the picture of your fantasy for yourself and those around you by sharing with others. Live in the possibility of your daydream state in any moment.
And know, from time to time, people will notice that you are choosing to live in a reality that is different from their own and they may try to knock you down from your tree of possibility. These people are not malicious. They are looking for someone to relate to – on their level – in their reality. Why not, for a moment, give them a taste of your reality? Why not, give them a tour of the tree house instead?
Show them around. Invite them into the world of daydream. If they choose to go back to the reality of the every day, this is their choice, but at least they have seen how beautiful your home is without pressure to stay or change.
The notion that daydreaming aligns one with their highest self is quite appealing. It suggests a state of inner peace and fulfillment.
I find it fascinating how daydreaming can serve as a mental exercise to explore possibilities and enhance creativity.
While daydreaming can be a pleasant escape, it’s important to remember that it is not a substitute for addressing real-world challenges effectively.
Daydreaming can be beneficial for mental well-being and personal growth, but it should complement rather than replace real-life experiences and responsibilities.
While idealistic, the idea of living perpetually in a daydream seems unrealistic. Real-world interactions and responsibilities cannot be ignored.
The article highlights the stark contrast between the ideal world of daydreams and the often harsh reality of everyday life. It’s a thought-provoking perspective.
Daydreaming can indeed be a source of joy and inspiration. However, it is vital to balance it with practical action to achieve real progress.
The concept of daydreaming as a higher state of consciousness is intriguing. It offers an escape from the constraints of daily life, allowing one to envision a more ideal reality.
